About the Role:
Robert Levy MDPC in Dearborn, MI is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Specialist/Receptionist to join our team! This dual-role position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and enjoys being the welcoming face of a practice while keeping insurance operations running smoothly.



Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients, managing front desk operations with professionalism and warmth
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
• Process insurance claims, authorizations, and referrals accurately and in a timely manner
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
• Collect co-pays
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a medical office and insurance verification
• Familiarity with insurance terminology
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a patient-first attitude
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy environment
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus
