LaTorre Insurance Agency is seeking a driven, self-directed Insurance Producer to grow our commercial lines book of business. This is a field-based sales role you will spend the majority of your time in the community prospecting, networking, and meeting with business owners. You will have the full backing of an established independent agency: multi-carrier access, a marketing budget, agency staff support, and direct mentorship from ownership.
Commercial lines is the primary focus. You will also have the ability to write personal lines auto, home, umbrella to round out accounts and maximize income. The book you build is yours, and the earning potential grows with it.
Salary Range: $50000.00 - $125000.00 per year

Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Prospect for new commercial accounts through cold calling, door knocking, networking events, referrals, and community involvement
Identify and qualify business owners and decision-makers across target industries
Conduct needs assessments to understand client exposures and coverage gaps
Prepare and present competitive commercial insurance proposals across multiple carriers
Close new accounts and meet or exceed monthly and annual new business production goals
Cross-sell personal lines products (auto, home, umbrella) to round out client relationships
Pipeline & Account Management
Maintain an active, documented pipeline of prospects in the agency CRM (AgencyZoom)
Track all sales activity, calls, meetings, and follow-ups in the CRM consistently
Follow up on open quotes and outstanding proposals with persistence and professionalism
Coordinate with agency staff for account setup, policy issuance, and client onboarding
Communicate policy changes, endorsements, and renewal updates to clients as needed
Client Retention & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to support retention
Conduct proactive outreach at renewal to review coverage, address changes, and secure re-sign
Address client questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, coordinating with service staff as appropriate
Identify opportunities to round out accounts with additional lines of coverage
Agency Collaboration
Work closely with agency principal and service staff to ensure smooth account handoffs
Participate in regular production check-ins and pipeline reviews with agency ownership
Adhere to agency workflows, documentation standards, and system protocols (Hawksoft AMS, AgencyZoom CRM)
Represent LaTorre Insurance Agency professionally in all client and community interactions
Licenses & Credentials
Active New York Property & Casualty license required OR demonstrated commitment to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire date
Must maintain license in good standing throughout employment
Experience
Prior experience in insurance sales, financial services, or B2B outside sales preferred
Demonstrated track record of prospecting, pipeline management, and closing new business
Familiarity with commercial lines products (BOP, GL, commercial auto, workers comp, commercial umbrella) preferred but not required product training provided
Skills & Competencies
Self-motivated and highly driven capable of managing an independent field schedule without daily oversight
Comfortable with and committed to cold outreach cold calls, door knocking, and direct prospecting are a core expectation of this role
Strong verbal communication skills confident, clear, and credible in front of business owners and decision-makers
Organized and detail-oriented able to manage a pipeline, follow up consistently, and document activity accurately
Professional presentation and demeanor in all client-facing interactions
Coachable, accountable, and receptive to feedback
Basic proficiency with CRM and agency management software, or willingness to learn
