Insurance Response Analyst (Prior Authorizations)
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Flexible business hours
Type: Temp‑to‑Hire (conversion after 720 hours)
Pay: $67,000-$75,000 annually
Job Overview
We are hiring an Insurance Response Analyst to support the resolution of insurance‑related issues that delay approval of services and equipment. This role focuses on reviewing insurance feedback, responding to denied or delayed requests, improving documentation, and helping teams achieve faster approvals.
You'll work closely with internal team members, clinical partners, insurance representatives, and families to address questions, correct missing information, and submit follow‑up documentation. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, proactive, organized, and comfortable managing a high volume of requests while identifying patterns and opportunities for improvement.
What You'll Do
- Review and manage insurance requests that require follow‑up, clarification, or revision
- Investigate why requests are delayed or denied and determine next steps
- Draft clear written responses, addendums, and appeals based on insurance feedback
- Partner with clinical team members to adjust documentation and address insurer questions
- Track common insurance issues and identify recurring trends
- Recommend process improvements to reduce repeat issues and delays
- Communicate professionally with insurance reviewers, internal teams, and families
- Maintain accurate records in internal systems (CRM experience preferred)
- Meet daily productivity goals and quality expectations
- Share updates, trends, and improvement ideas in weekly team meetings
- Follow privacy, confidentiality, and compliance standards
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of experience working with medical insurance, benefits coordination, or funding processes
- Experience responding to insurance denials, requests for more information, or appeals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze feedback, identify issues, and recommend solutions
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Highly organized and accurate in documentation and data entry
- Able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Confident presenting information to managers and leadership
- Comfortable learning new systems; Salesforce experience a plus
