About the job Instrumentation Engineer 2 Responsibilities Perform as lead discipline engineer on single or multi-discipline projectsMaintain effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers, and clientsGenerate specifications and related project design documents, instrument lists, I/O lists; specify hardware, design the installation of PLCs, Industrial Process Controllers, and related peripheralsPerform basic field commissioning and start-up of process control systemsDirect and check the work of designers and engineers ensuring all standards are monitoredMaintains compliance with all Company policies, procedures, and standardsObserve safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properlyAccepts other duties as assignedQualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in appropriate and related basic science or engineering field with a PE license preferredFive plus (5+) or more years working in one or more of the following service areas: Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers, Utility, Energy, and ManufacturingKnowledge of all facets of process instrumentation and control systems project design and implementationAbility to perform and check sizing calculations for flow meters and control valvesExperience with PLC specification, Operator Interface, and Process Automation Controllers; configuration knowledge is a plusExperience with P & IDs, instrument loop diagrams, wiring schematic diagrams, panel layout and detail drawingsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel); familiar with Revit and Autodesk CAD (3D preferred) softwareEligibility Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictionAuthorize a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational backgroundSubmit to a drug test post offerPossess a valid drivers licenseAccepts that this position may require some domestic overnight travel, including the potential for occasional extended assignments#J-18808-Ljbffr
