We recognize the importance of creating a work environment that is both rewarding to our employees and supportive of our unwavering commitment to provide unparalleled service to our clients.PurposeHold a key leadership position, responsible for providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship to the instrumentation and control engineering discipline. Contribute to the organization's engineering strategies, drive innovation, and ensure excellence in the execution of instrumentation and control engineering projects.ResponsibilitiesPerform equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables.Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross‑functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements.Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.Supports proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort required.Work is highly independent.Prepare, review, and approve instrumentation equipment, conduit, and wiring calculations, requisitions, lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs.Develop Operating Controls Philosophy and Cause & Effect Diagrams, review HMI layout and Network Architecture Diagram.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering.Seven or more (7+) years of relevant experience.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Extensive knowledge and experience in instrument and controls engineering principles and practices.Advanced proficiency in engineering software and tools for system design, simulation, and analysis.Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.In‑depth understanding of process control systems and automation technologies.Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.Ability to develop and implement instrumentation and control engineering standards and guidelines.Proficient in both written and spoken English.CompetenciesEffective working relationships with internal leaders and peers, as well as external clients.Highly motivated and problem‑solving attitude.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.Self‑reliance and ability to operate independently with limited direction.Strong marketing/business development skills and mindset.Commitment to promoting the reputation of the company through quality of work.Aspirations to grow professionally and advance within the company.Commitment to driving profitability and growth.Commitment to becoming a “citizen” of the broader organization, breaking down barriers and silos.Commitment to working in partnership with others inside and outside the organization.Ability to effectively manage multiple time‑sensitive tasks.Focus on improving return on investment.Basic understanding of financial reports and metrics.Data analysis and interpretation skills.About BowmanAre you ready to build a career that makes a lasting impact?
