The Instrumentation & Controls EIT/Coordinator position includes engineering tasks with varying levels of complexity, which are assigned by a Project Engineer or Project Manager. The EIT may work independently on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects. Other tasks may include: checking manufacture's drawings, performing engineering calculations, working on design layouts, verifying code compliance, quality checks, meeting project schedules and budget as well as coordination of work with other disciplines as required. Typical design work would deal with power distribution, motor control, lighting, power system analysis and grounding. Depending on project size, job may require supervision of designer and CAD operators. Projects include power industrial and institutional facilities. Must be able to work among other disciplines and have good communication, analytical and organizational skills. Candidate must also display attention to accuracy and be detail orientated. Participate in field reviews or construction observation. Familiarity with Piping and Instrument Diagrams, having professional work experience. Some travel may be involved. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred. 3.0+ GPA. Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required. EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression. Preference given to local candidates.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task. Knowledgeable of Allen-Bradley, Modicon, Wonderware and/or Interlution. Microsoft Office experience. May need to travel. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
