Instrumentation & Controls EngineerAs an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer with Middough, you will collect and prepare data/information and perform detailed engineering calculations. The I&C Engineer performs basic engineering design for review and approval by senior department personnel. The I&C Engineer demonstrates technical/professional growth annually by maintaining active membership in professional organizations and participating in technical seminars/courses.Position and ResponsibilitiesCollect and prepare data/information and perform detailed engineering calculations.Assist in field work, check installations, and problem-solving activities.Interact with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information.Work on multiple projects of various sizes at the same time as a member of a larger design team.Education, Experience and SkillsEngineering Technology degree or Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline required.3-6+ years of engineering and design experiences in Instrumentation & Controls (or Electrical).EIT certification is a plus.Strong skill set in understanding PFD's, P&ID's, and Cause and Effect matrices.Understanding of NEC/ISA standards.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Working knowledge of AutoCAD.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.Ability to multitask and organize for project efficiency.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Physical RequirementsRemain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop or kneel, bend or twist, use repeating motions that may include the wrists/hands/fingers and talk and hear.Frequently use up-close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.Should not expect adverse environmental conditions within company offices.May be exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as climbing ladders and/or stairs, extreme heat and/or cold, and/or poor air quality) if or when on-site at a client facility.
