Little Knife Gas Plant gathers gas from oil production units, compresses it, strips it of Hydrogen Sulfide, dehydrate it, chills it to -85 degrees through refrigeration and cryogenics, separate the gas from the liquids and then fractionate the liquids to make propane, butane and NGLs. Natural gas is sold via pipeline, and liquids are transported out via transport trucks.
Job Description, Instrument Technician
Responsible for maintenance and repair of instrument apparatus, analyzers and control system for a natural gas processing facility. This will require tuning and monitoring the performance of plant instruments, including mechanical, electronic pneumatic and safety systems.

The natural gas is sold via pipeline and liquids are transported out.

Job Position and some Requirements
At the Little Knife Plant we like to cross train our employees the person selected will start out training as an operator. Once you become proficient in the understanding of the plant you will acquire a full time position as an instrument technician. At times you may be asked to assist our maintenance group with larger projects.
Must be willing and capable of working callouts, unusual work hours, in and around hydrogen sulfide, sweet gas, LPG equipment and in all kinds of weather conditions. This processing facility operates, 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
Must have good hearing to be able to hear portable radio communications, H2S monitors and various plant alarms.
