• Provides consultations and clinical services in an inpatient setting
• Collaborates with leadership group(s) to improve quality of care in inpatient settings
• Engages in extensive and ongoing communications with community primary care physicians
• Completes all medical records and documentation accurately and timely to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements
• Limited outpatient responsibilities, based on candidate''s interest
• Supervises residents and participates in teaching activities for medical students and/or residents
• Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
• Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
• Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission

• Two or more years of experience as a hospitalist
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine for the rank of Assistant Professor or higher
• Experience as a hospitalist in a community hospital setting
• Experience with supervising residents in the hospital setting
• Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher
