Salaries are dependent upon education and semesters taught at MCC per the MCC Adjunct Faculty Agreement 24/25. Position Summary This division is home to the following: Physical Therapist Assistant ProgramMCC instructors are higher-education professionals who champion student learning. They engage and inspire students, applying innovative teaching and learning pedagogies in instruction. They assess student learning to ensure students success, staying abreast of trends in the discipline. Our instructors collaborate within the College as discipline experts, helping the College reach its strategic goals through active participation in college committees and by promoting the College to future students throughout our community. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Including but are not limited to:Teaching courses as assigned by the CollegeAvailable to teach daytime, evening, and weekend classes, as neededAvailable for student conferences either before or after class, and by college email or special appointment if necessaryParticipate with producing documentation relating to program accreditation standards to achieve and maintain accreditationWork cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellenceKeep appraised of external agency regulations and changes to regulations that directly impact a particular curriculumAssess student learning and participate in assessment of the PTA programContinue professional development in area of contemporary clinical expertise and in teaching/learning strategiesMaintain and submit accurate student and course-related paperwork and data needed for college and grant purposes in a timely fashionMaintain and submit accurate attendance records. Required Qualifications Course specific minimum qualifications(Download PDF reader)are approved annually by the Board of Trustees and are available in all Academic Division Offices. Demonstrated teaching experience is preferred.Commitment to the mission of the community college, and to teaching and motivating community college students in ways appropriate to their diverse backgrounds.Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. For each semester worked, McHenry County College provides Adjunct Faculty a sick leave allowance and credits toward MCC tuition waivers.
