They engage and inspire students, applying innovative teaching and learning pedagogies to reach a variety of learners. They assess student learning to ensure student success, staying abreast of current and emerging trends in the discipline. Our instructors collaborate within the College as discipline experts, helping the College to reach its strategic goals through active participation in college committees and by promoting the College to future students throughout our community. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Including but are not limited to:Teach courses as assigned by the CollegeAvailable to teach daytime, evening, and weekend classes, as neededAvailable for student conferences either before or after class, and by College email or special appointment if necessaryParticipate with producing documentation relating to program accreditation standards to achieve and maintain accreditationWork cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellenceAssess student learning and participate in assessment of the Occupational Therapy Assistant ProgramMaintain and submit accurate attendance records, along with course related dataWork cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellence Required Qualifications Course specific minimum qualifications are approved annually by the Board of Trustees and are available in all Academic Division Offices.
