The primary responsibility is to teach in-person courses at the level of first-semester calculus and below, as needed by the department. For this academic year, the work will be focused on Math 100, which is a preparatory class for college-level math, and Math 391, which is a training course for undergraduate learning assistants.
Supervise undergraduate and graduate teaching assistants working with Math 100.
Instructors are also expected to participate in various departmental activities, such as tutoring and mentoring programs. Full-time appointments usually require teaching 12 credit hours each semester.
Additional responsibilities include attendance at all appropriate course meetings and related professional development sessions.
