The Department of Psychological Sciences within the Ogden College of Science and Engineering at Western Kentucky University seeks a full-time Instructor. The position is a 9-month, non-tenure track appointment beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses, including Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Lifespan Developmental Psychology, Introduction to Biopsychology, and other undergraduate courses as needed, assisting with our team-taught University Experience for Psychological Science majors course, and to help with undergraduate advising.
The Department of Psychological Sciences offers a B.S. and minor in Psychological Science, a minor in Neuroscience, a Joint Undergraduate-Masters Program (JUMP), and an M.S. in Psychology program with concentrations in Psychological Science and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. This growing department serves approximately 160 undergraduate majors and 30 graduate students.
This is a one-year appointment. Continuation is dependent on need and availability of funding. Employment begins on August 17, 2026.
