Description
Provides Continuing Education instruction for skills training courses delivered through the Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) & Certified Production Technician(CPT) program. Coordinate/teach Orientation and Job Search courses delivered prior to and after skills training. Prepare students for online certification assessments and tutoring for those who need to retest. Identify and provide course development for new programs. Facilitate learning within a correctional facility setting.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties
- Provides instruction in HRD and OE classrooms at specified time frames to cover all aspects of the CPT and CLT curriculum
- Participates in the scheduling of events, classes, and tutoring
- Assists in the development and acquisition of visual aides and other academic materials designed to facilitate the learning process
- Recruits students and participants to meet enrollment goals
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean, Workforce Development
- Maintains all required PCC/HRD/OE documentation and processes in timely fashion
- Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing new programs/courses
- Record assessment results for each student participating
- Works with other staff to schedule MSSC testing and retesting
- Maintains student database of all MSSC scores
- Assists Dean, Technical & Manufacturing in developing and revising course outlines, student learning objectives, and instructional materials
- Maintain good rapport with students, co-workers, and partner agency personnel
- Participate in team meetings, as appropriate/assigned

Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Industrial Technology or related field. Masters Degree preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment with experience in industrial training preferred.
Licenses and Certificates:
Specialized Training: One year of teaching in a classroom at post-secondary level and experience working in a manufacturing setting. Understand OSHA requirements and preferred certification in OSHA

Computer and organizational skills. Computers, AV Equipment, printers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong commitment to adult education, employment/career development training and job placement.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a correctional facility classroom/lab environment. Regular work week Monday - Friday.
