Responsibilities and Tasks:
Encourage growth through industry connectivity
Prepare relevant curriculum for competency based instruction
Develop and maintain current program and course outlines, goals and objectives
Align class curriculum with industry standards
Administer Utah State Board of Education skills tests when teaching secondary students
Actively assist in accreditation processes
Advise, evaluate, and record student progress
Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in respective industry
Maintain certifications, licensures and accreditation standards for program area
Assist with student recruitment, retention and job placement efforts
Create, support, and maintain an active Occupational Advisory Committee and industry partnerships
Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area
Foster a productive learning and training environment
Encourage and exemplify professionalism and good work habits
Request and maintain supplies and equipment inventories
Propose required budget and purchase requests; follow purchasing guidelines
Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports
Performs other related duties as assigned
Work Location: Vernal, Uintah High School. (Program takes place in classroom/shop located in high school directly across the street from UBTech's Vernal Campus.)
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:15am-3:30pm, Friday 7:15am-2:30pm
Classification: Level 2 Employee; Working a schedule greater than 1560 hours but less than 2080 hours annually. This is a full time/exempt, benefited position.
Minimum Qualifications:
4 years demonstrated experience in respective industry
Must successfully pass criminal background check.
Valid driver's license.
