Provides program management oversight to include identifying risks and recommending mitigations. Provides expert guidance and instruction both internally and externally to address diverse, complex issues. May develop new policies, procedures, and approaches that take into consideration FAA policies, Government-wide rules and regulations, and external concerns.

Contacts are internal and external. Often represents the FAA Academy in meetings and is a principal point of contact for communications with internal and external stakeholders. Speaks authoritatively on Academy training development policies, processes, and practices. Applies expertise in FAA training standards and practices, instructional design methods and processes, adult education theories and principles, and educational technologies, methods, and media.
