About the Opportunity
Kalamazoo Valley is seeking an Instructional Manager of Energy & Technical Career Training. This position's primary function is to deliver hands-on training for Wind Turbine Technicians, Corporate Training, Telecom Training, Confined Space training and industry specific safety training in an academy-style program. Duties would also involve working closely with the Program Director in formulating, developing, and revising modules, curriculum, and teaching strategies.
This position will also help recruit students for the programs and form sound working relationships with employers in the wind industry for program direction and for securing agreements for field work experience, and other related responsibilities.
Instruction takes place in the classroom learning lab and in the field. Instructors will function as lead technicians while in the field with trainees and mentor the next generation of technicians while working with them in operational wind turbines, telecommunications towers, confined spaces and industrial settings.

Minimum Qualifications:
An associate degree and advanced training or certification is required with verifiable experience in one or more areas of manufacturing or skilled trades.

Physical Demands:
Must possess vision and hearing levels meeting industry standards at a level suitable for working safely in those industry environments.
