Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent or higher). Two [2] years of full-time experience working in instructional design. Experience using instructional technologies. Experience with designing and developing courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (or foreign equivalent or higher). Three [3] or more years of full time experience working in instructional design. Experience with digital accessibility. Teaching experience. Experience designing multimedia for education.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Instructional Designer will provide pedagogical and course development support for faculty through consultation and dissemination of relevant instructional techniques and technologies. The position will provide academic instructional design consulting, guidance, and support to faculty and TA''s, and will collaborate with content developers and other instructional designers and technologists for the consistent delivery of exemplary and accessible courses.
Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
In addition to the employee''s base salary, this position is eligible for $4000 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
