Position Description
Seneca Resources is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to develop engaging, learner-centered training solutions that drive business performance. This role is ideal for an instructional design professional with experience creating interactive digital learning experiences using Articulate Rise 360 and Articulate Storyline.
You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders to analyze learning needs, design effective instructional materials, and develop high-quality training content across multiple delivery formats. Key Responsibilities
Conduct learning needs analyses to identify knowledge and performance gaps.
Design, develop, and maintain engaging learning solutions using instructional design best practices.
Create interactive eLearning courses using Articulate Rise 360 and Articulate Storyline.
Develop virtual instructor-led training (VILT) materials, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and supporting documentation.
Produce job aids, reference guides, and other performance support resources.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to gather content and validate learning objectives.
Apply adult learning principles and performance-based instructional design methodologies.
Ensure learning content meets accessibility standards and visual design best practices.
Utilize AI-assisted content development tools to improve efficiency and content quality where appropriate.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, timelines, and attention to detail.
Required Skills/Education
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Human Performance Improvement, or a related field.
1-5 years of instructional design experience.
Hands-on experience developing learning content with Articulate Rise 360 and Articulate Storyline.
Experience conducting needs analyses and designing performance-based learning solutions.
Demonstrated experience developing:
eLearning courses
Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
Job aids and performance support tools
Strong written, verbal, editing, and communication skills.
Experience partnering effectively with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
