The School District of Waukesha is seeking an Instructional Coach for Waukesha West High School. Primary areas of focus are as follows:
Coaching and Leadership
- Conduct walkthroughs focusing on teaching and learning providing formative feedback on classroom management, instructional practices, and engagement strategies
- Ensure fidelity to the instructional model and guaranteed curriculum
- Specifically, coach to develop model/lead classrooms
- Using adult learning frameworks to deepen practices to levels of institutionalization/impact
- Promote reflection and grow capacity for inclusive classrooms and high expectations for students
Data
- Analyze instructional and achievement data with attention to equitable practices to help teams determine next steps for professional development
Curriculum
- Shared responsibility to ensure fidelity of SDW standards-based curriculum and instructional frameworks
- Support and lead curriculum work during curricular design cycles
Professional Development
- Work with teachers and administrators to identify, plan and implement professional development opportunities for staff members that address district strategic vision and the school's SAIL Theory of Action
- Engage in continuous professional development to remain current in the literature supporting standards and culturally responsive practices
