Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Instructional Assistant for our specialized healthcare program at Lakeview Elementary School for the 2026/2027 school year. In this role, you will provide direct physical health care services to a student with unique needs, ensuring their well-being and educational progress. You will collaborate with teachers, following individualized emergency plans and alerting them of any special requirements. Your ability to work independently, follow directions, and maintain confidentiality is essential. Previous experience with school-age children and specialized health care needs is desired. The schedule is 6 hours per day from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday -Friday, 193 days/ year. This includes all school and holiday breaks off, as well as earned holiday pay, vacation, and sick leave accrual. This position is for the 2026/2027 school year and will start on August 12, 2026. Candidates interested in this position must be highly qualified by providing proof of the following: 1. A high school diploma or the equivalent, AND a. Two years of college (48 units), OR b. A. A. degree (or higher), OR c. Pass a local (County Office of Education) assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. First aid and CPR certificates are required.
