Primary Purpose:

To assist the Physical Education (PE) teacher in implementing a quality PE program by supporting daily activities, ensuring student safety, and encouraging student participation in physical fitness and motor skill development.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Educational Aide certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred
• Ability to assist in lifting, physical movement, and outdoor supervision

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist the PE teacher with preparing equipment, setting up activities, and managing student behavior during PE lessons
• Supervise students during PE classes, ensuring safety procedures are followed
• Support students with special needs in accessing PE curriculum
• Assist with maintaining inventory and storage of PE equipment and supplies
• Help take attendance and record student participation
• Support with locker room supervision as needed (if applicable)
• Provide positive encouragement and model appropriate behavior during activities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the PE teacher or campus administration

Working Conditions:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
• Requires physical stamina to engage in activities with students

Calendar of 187 days

Starting Salary $20,959

• Salary Commensurate with Experience
• Remote work is not available for this role.
