The Richardson School (TRS) is a therapeutic day school serving students with significant behavioral, emotional, developmental, and neurological needs. We partner with local districts to provide individualized, trauma‑informed education in a structured, supportive environment.
Role Summary
The Instructional Aide supports students throughout the school day by assisting with academics, behavior support, social‑emotional skill building, and daily living needs. This role is highly relationship‑based and essential to maintaining a safe, therapeutic classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support classroom instruction and engage students in learning
Implement behavior support strategies and Agency‑approved techniques
Assist with IEP‑aligned academic and behavioral programming
Collect and submit instructional and behavior data
Model professional, positive behavior for students and peers
Support classroom staff and uphold TRS policies
Assist students with hygiene needs as required
Qualifications
21+ years old
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's preferred
Valid driver's license with acceptable record
Experience with students that have special needs preferred
Calm, composed, and solution‑focused under pressure
Strong teamwork and independent work skills
Hours & Pay
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday
Regular School Year + ESY & Bobcat Camp opportunities
