ORPC provides a centralized resource to ensure UMBC conducts its research activities in a manner consistent with federal, state and institutional regulatory requirements. ORPC collaborates with the UMBC community to follow the highest ethical standards governing research activities. The UMBC Research Compliance Program areas include Human Subjects Protections, Animal Care and Use, Institutional Biosafety Research, Export Control, Conflicts of Interest, Responsible Conduct of Research and supporting the Office of Research and Creative Achievement (ORCA) Vice President on requirements associated with allegations of misconduct in research and other scholarly activities.
Position Overview:
The Institutional Review Board Manager will be responsible for the management of UMBC's IRB program. The primary responsibility will be to manage, develop and implement efficient procedures to facilitate the processing of human protocols in accordance with UMBC, federal accreditation, and state policies and procedures.

Salary:
Salary: $74,000 - $83,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
