The Installation Technician will be responsible for configuring, installing, and troubleshooting smart home and commercial automation systems, ensuring exceptional performance and client satisfaction. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology and takes pride in high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
Install, program, and service smart home and commercial systems
Work with technologies including access control, security systems, cameras, audio/visual equipment, speakers, TVs, and home theaters
Diagnose and resolve technical and electrical issues
Deliver a high level of professionalism and client service on job sites
Schedule & Work Environment
Full-time position with occasional overtime
Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, with some evenings/weekends as needed
Occasional overnight travel may be required
30–50 hours per week, depending on workload
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
Audio/visual installation and programming
Security, camera, or smart home systems
Electrical wiring and troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving and technical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Comfortable climbing ladders/scaffolding and working in tight or uneven spaces
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
Ability to use hand and power tools and distinguish colors
Additional Requirements
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass background and drug screening
