About the job

We pride ourselves on being pioneers in the water purification, sanitation, and disinfection industry. As we continue our journey, we have a unique opportunity for you to join our team as an Installation & Field Service Technician.

As an Installation & Field Service Technician you will install, commission (startup), and support our equipment at customer sites. This role is hands-on and field-based, combining technical troubleshooting with a customer-first mindset. You’ll own the full lifecycle—from pre-install checks and mechanical / electrical / plumbing assembly through commissioning, operator training, and ongoing service / maintenance—to ensure reliable performance and exceptional customer experience. While not traveling you will be assisting in building support tools and collaborating with different departments (operations, engineering, chemistry, sales and project management) to create a successful field service process.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform on-site installation, mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and plumbing connections per drawings, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and manufacturer specs.
  • Execute system startup / commissioning: verify utilities, conduct I/O checks, calibrations, functional tests, and safety interlocks.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, layout drawings, and installation manuals.
  • Validate performance against acceptance criteria;document results and sign-off with customer.
  • Provide end-user training on operation, routine maintenance, and safety.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues (electrical, mechanical, plumbing) to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM), inspections, and updates aligned with the service schedule.
  • Replace / repair components (pumps, valves, sensors, fittings, controllers, motors, VFDs) and verify proper operation.
  • Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and work orders in CRM/CMMS.
  • Communicate clearly with customers on root cause, corrective actions, and next steps.
  • Serve as the face of Envirolyte on-site: professional demeanor, timely updates, and clear documentation.
  • Set expectations, manage schedules, and ensure high satisfaction through proactive problem solving.
  • Escalate complex issues and collaborate with engineering and operations when needed.

·       Support telephone / video Technical Support Calls.
  • Follow all safety procedures (lockout/tagout, PPE, confined space where applicable), electrical codes, and company policies.
  • Comply with relevant standards (e.G., OSHA) and environmental guidelines.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and safe practices at customer sites.
  • Prepare install kits, tools, and parts;coordinate shipments and returns.
  • Complete service reports, timesheets, and expense logs accurately and on time.
  • Support continuous improvement by providing feedback to product / engineering.

·       Help in the shipping / crating of machines as needed.

  • Comfortable working around chemicals / water systems with appropriate PPE.

·       Working conditions may be indoor and outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
  • Travel: Varies by project / customer needs;both domestic and international.
  • May require overtime, weekend work, and on-call rotation to support urgent service.

  • 3+ years in field service, industrial maintenance, or equipment installation.
  • Strong hands-on skills across electrical (120/240/480VAC, DC, wiring, panels), plumbing (PVC/CPVC, PEX, stainless, fittings), and mechanical assembly (pumps, motors, gearboxes, frames).
  • Proficiency with test and measurement tools (multimeter, digital testing equipment, flow/pressure gauges), hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
  • Experience commissioning equipment and performing preventive / corrective maintenance.
  • Excellent customer communication, professionalism, and problem-solving skills.
