We're currently looking for a highly motivated Inside Sales Representative to support our organization. This is a full-time, salaried position ideal for someone with strong administrative and communication skills, a background in steel or industrial sales, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service.

Function in the Job

Job Function

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers through responsive, reliable service
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales and Inside Sales Manager to respond to quotes and fulfill orders accurately
  • Interpret customer material applications and relay internal needs using AS400 and Salesforce
  • Maintain updated and accurate customer data in the AS400 system
  • Support customer satisfaction through clear communication, inventory coordination, and timely delivery
  • Understand our division's capabilities to make informed, quality-driven decisions
  • Effectively respond to urgent customer needs and changing priorities
  • Make proactive cold calls to help generate new business
  • Manage contract accounts and inventory programs with precision and organization

Required Skills

  • Proficient in AS400, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and a team player

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2-5 years of experience in steel or industrial sales preferred

Additional Skills

  • Ability to explain and present information clearly in both one-on-one and group settings
  • Basic math and data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of steel terminology and product grades is a plus
