Under limited supervision, youll provide support to Outside Sales Reps in meetings with customers and may accompany them to customer site visits. Your responsibilities will include:
• Prospecting new customers • Providing high-quality service to current customers • Actively making phone calls and soliciting sales orders • Providing customer support to walk-in retail or contractor customers and responding to telephone and email inquiries from customers • Typically providing support to customers with larger or more complex requirements • Utilizing specialized knowledge and experience to assist customers with issues such as product selection, pricing, availability, and refunds/exchanges • Determining customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and services • May recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or specifications • Generating sales quotations requiring a working knowledge of company products, procedures, and practices • Actively engaging in selling company products and services • Providing material take-offs, estimates, and pricing of large packages (e.g., decks, garages, millwork, kitchen, bath, doors, etc.) • Entering orders into the computer system • Providing training and assistance to less-experienced Inside Sales Representatives
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and three years of sales experience, preferably industry-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
