Position Summary:

The Customer Service / Sales Support Representative is responsible for providing professional customer service and administrative support to customers. This role assists customers with product inquiries, estimates, order processing, invoicing, and project coordination while maintaining accurate records and strong communication across the team. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through in-person, phone, email, and text communication channels.
  • Assist walk-in customers with product inquiries, estimates, order placement, and general account support.
  • Manage inbound and outbound customer calls regarding orders, estimates, product questions, and follow-up communication.
  • Prepare and process estimates, sales orders, and invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate directly with homeowners, roofing professionals, and contractors to coordinate project requirements and sales support.
  • Utilize QuickBooks for estimating, order processing, invoicing, and maintaining customer records.
  • Maintain effective communication and strong organizational practices within a team-oriented environment.
  • Participate in training and demonstrate a willingness to learn company products, systems, and operational processes.
  • Maintain a full-time, in-office schedule Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of customer service, sales support, administrative, or inside sales experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in the construction, roofing, building materials, or related industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency using QuickBooks or similar ERP/accounting software preferred.
  • Strong phone communication, customer relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical Requirements:  Office and manufacturing environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing and walking on the manufacturing floor.  

 

Work Conditions:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to manufacturing equipment and machinery, forklifts, and pallets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme hot and cold weather conditions. Personal protective equipment is required in all areas of the production plant.
