POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, this position is based on-site in Bedford, IN and supports the sales team in day-to-day activities while contributing to development and marketing efforts across assigned territories, with a primary focus on granite curbing.
The role requires strong organization, the ability to work independently, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate communicates clearly and professionally, takes a proactive approach to problem-solving, and is comfortable with outbound outreach, including cold calling across a variety of organizations such as municipalities and engineering firms. Strong presentation skills and the ability to adapt to client needs are important.
SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Find and qualify leads by analyzing bid documents, plans, and specifications, and making initial contact as needed
- Log opportunities in the CRM and ensure consistent follow-up and pipeline reporting
- Contact prospective bidders to identify awarded firms on various contracts
- Maintain Accounts and Contacts in the CRM to support regular communication and territory coverage
- Conduct outbound cold calls to identify accurate contacts and schedule meetings or presentations for field representatives
- Manage information and documentation related to quotations and contracts
- Support daily administrative operations and routines related to sales
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Native or bilingual proficiency in English
- Understanding of the construction industry and design-bid-build process is preferred
POSITION DETAILS:
- Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly
- Compensation: $21.50 - $24.00 per hour (equivalent to approximately $45,000 - $50,000 annually, based on a 40-hour work week)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
