Job Title: Order Desk / Inside Sales Representative
Location: Bethlehem, PA
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Reports To: Office Manager

Job Overview

, a leading Steel Stud Manufacturing company is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Order Desk / Inside Sales Representative to join their growing team in Bethlehem, PA.

This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for managing customer orders, providing outstanding customer service, and supporting daily office operations. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in inside sales or order desk roles, preferably within building products, construction materials, or manufacturing.

This role focuses primarily on working with an established customer base, rather than constant outbound sales outreach. The position offers a competitive salary plus commission, strong benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Compensation

  • Salary: $50,000 – $75,000 annually (depending on experience)
  • Commission: Additional earning potential through commission
  • Benefits: Full benefits available after a 30–60 day probationary period

Key Responsibilities *Customer Service

  • Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone and email
  • Provide product information, pricing, and availability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns in a professional and timely manner

Order Processing

  • Accurately enter customer orders into the system
  • Confirm order details and ensure all documentation is complete
  • Coordinate with production and shipping teams to ensure timely order fulfillment

Product Knowledge

  • Develop a strong understanding of product lines and manufacturing processes
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor products

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain customer order records and filing systems
  • Assist the Office Manager with additional administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications/Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, or a related field is an asset

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in order desk, inside sales, or customer service
  • Experience in building product sales, manufacturing, or construction materials preferred
  • Experience with steel stud products is highly desirable

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to travel to Canada for 1–2 weeks of training
  • Valid passport required for training travel

Working Conditions

  • Standard weekday schedule with occasional flexibility to meet customer needs
  • Required to work 1 Saturday every 4 months for inventory
