Senior Sales Coordinator / Inside Sales Manager
High‑Tech Mapping / Robotics Ecosystem
Location: Livonia, MI
Salary: $75,000 base )

I'm recruiting on behalf of a small but high‑impact mapping/data company that builds ultra‑precise digital representations of the physical world. Their data underpins advanced driver assistance, autonomous vehicles, robotics and digital twin applications.

They're looking for a Senior Sales Coordinator / Inside Sales Manager to be the operational backbone of the sales and marketing function in their Livonia office.

This can be filled by one of two distinct profiles – if you fit either, I want to hear from you.

The Role

Title: Senior Sales Coordinator / Inside Sales Manager (final title based on profile)
Type: Full‑time, permanent
Location: Livonia, MI (on‑site, not remote)
Comp: Approx. $75,000/year base

Core responsibilities:

  • Own day‑to‑day use of Salesforce: data hygiene, pipeline updates, reports, dashboards
  • Support field / outside sales: proposals, decks, follow‑ups, info gathering, travel support
  • Keep the office and sales operations running smoothly – scheduling, coordination, vendor follow‑up and payments
  • Help create and maintain sales reports, marketing collateral and internal documentation
  • Introduce and embed AI tools into workflows where practical (drafting, analysis, process automation)
  • Continuously improve processes – documenting, standardizing and tightening how things get done

This is a lean environment: low bureaucracy, limited hand‑holding, and a high expectation that you'll figure things out and improve how the team works.

Persona 1: Data / GIS / AI‑Savvy Sales Coordinator

Ideal for an up‑and‑comer in their 2nd role, with roughly 2–3 years' experience.

Target background:

  • Degree in data science, analytics, information science, communications, GIS, or similar
  • Exposure to ArcGIS / Esri (e.g., through university GIS coursework or a prior role)

You should have:

  • Solid Salesforce experience (heavy user, power user, or junior admin exposure)
  • Working familiarity with ArcGIS / Esri – able to generate clear visual outputs and simple map‑based collateral
  • Comfort using AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate drafting, research and workflow automation
  • Strong process mindset (Kaizen / continuous improvement, 5S‑style thinking)
  • Excellent written English – concise, correct, and suitable for both customers and internal stakeholders

This is a good fit if you're analytically strong, tools‑savvy, and want broad exposure in a high‑tech, data‑driven environment.

Persona 2: Inside Sales Manager / Office Anchor

Ideal for someone with more traditional sales support / inside sales experience who loves bringing order to moving parts.

Target background:

  • 2–5+ years in inside sales, sales coordination or sales operations
  • Experience supporting external / field sales teams

You should have:

  • Proven track record keeping salespeople on track (follow‑ups, CRM discipline, deadlines)
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability; you enjoy running the office
  • Good Salesforce discipline – accurate data entry, pipeline management, reporting (no need to be a developer, but must be diligent)
  • Experience dealing with vendors, payments, scheduling and general office coordination
  • Excellent written English – clean, correct emails and documentation without needing rewrites

This is a good fit if you're operationally strong, unflappable, and like being the person who quietly makes everything work.

Common Requirements (Both Profiles)

  • Strong comfort with technology: Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, standard office tools
  • Process‑oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • High standard of written communication (you'll touch contracts/T&Cs and marketing material)
  • Able to operate with limited training runway; proactive and self‑directed

Why This Company?

  • They collect and produce high‑precision 3D representations (x, y, z coordinates) of roads and drivable spaces at industrial scale – tens of miles per truck per day
  • Their data is used to help automated vehicles and robots know exactly where they are and where they're allowed to operate
  • Small, specialist team: you'll sit close to senior sales leadership, see real deals, and have outsized impact on process, systems and day‑to‑day operations
