Inside/Counter Sales Representative
Location: Lake City, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: Hourly Pay


Company Overview


Our Lake City, FL branch specializes in the sale of compressed gas cylinders—including oxygen, CO, nitrogen—and a full range of welding supplies. We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside/Counter Sales Representative to join our team.


Job Summary


The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all sales functions in a professional and efficient manner. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent customer service skills—both in person and over the phone—are essential. The candidate must be proficient in or able to quickly learn POS systems and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist customers with in-store purchases, process orders, and coordinate future deliveries.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support via phone and in-person interactions.
  • Safely handle, transport, and load/unload products within the branch.
  • Obtain necessary signatures to confirm and complete orders.
  • Assist in mapping delivery routes when necessary.
Qualifications


  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and work in a physically active environment.
  • Experience operating an electric lift, hand trucks, and pallet jacks is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure with effective stress management.
  • Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
  • A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
