Job Summary:
Supports various projects, development, etc, with lab experiments, lab coating, production experiments, physical and analytical testing, data analysis and report writing. Trains others on experimental and test methodology.
Essential Functions:
- Contributes to the design of lab-scale mixing and coating experiments. Executes lab mixing and coating experiments of their own design or designed by others. Exercises independent judgment relative to implementation aspects of experimental design.
- Prepares test samples and conduct tests on chemicals and/or materials
- Records, organizes and communicates results/data from experiments and testing. Performs limited analysis of data, draws basic conclusions and makes recommendations.
- Maintains lab areas, storage areas and equipment to organizational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Makes identifiable and substantial contributions to continuous improvement. Performs all duties consistent with established AR guidelines consistent with ISO-9001 and those elements of GMP deemed necessary to support our business (as outlined in the Quality Manual) Actively complies with and endorses Department and Company objectives.
- Responsible for following all applicable waste handling procedures.
- Responsible for equipment, instrument and lab tools maintenance and calibration when appropriate.

Job Specifications:
- BS degree in chemistry and/or relevant industrial experience. R&D laboratory experience preferred.
- Proficient in application of standard adhesive text methods.
- Must communicate fluently in English
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of AR information
- Ability to perform duties with moderate supervision
- Effective oral & written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage different priorities
- Requires an aptitude to use sensitive test equipment
- Knowledge of computers and related word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail software - Microsoft preferred
