The Injection Molding Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of injection molding programs from concept to the end of the program. This role ensures projects meet quality, cost, and delivery targets while maintaining strong communication between customers, suppliers, and internal teams. The Program Manager will lead cross-functional efforts to optimize mold design, process development, and manufacturing efficiency. Responsibilities - Program Leadership: Manage multiple injection molding programs simultaneously, from initial customer requirements through product launch and ongoing production. - Project Planning: Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans. - Technical Oversight: Collaborate with design, tooling, and manufacturing teams to ensure mold designs meet quality and manufacturability standards. - Process Development: Lead APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities or the IQ, OQ, PQ process. - Customer Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular project updates and managing expectations. - Supplier Coordination: Work with tooling vendors, material suppliers, and other partners to ensure on-time delivery of components and tooling. - Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks related to quality, timeline, or cost. - Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to reduce scrap, improve cycle times, and enhance overall product quality. - Compliance: Ensure all programs adhere to relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or ISO 13485, as applicable). Qualifications Associate degree or 4 years related injection molding, tooling or plastics manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
