Injection Molding Process Technician

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a leading manufacturing company in Wellington, Ohio to hire an Injection Molding Process Technician.  We are hiring for second and third shift opportunities with a pay range of $20-28/hour based on experience and skill level.  This role focuses on setting up, adjusting, and optimizing injection molding machines to meet quality, cycle time, and production requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply in depth knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, materials, and machine operation. 
• Collect, input, and analyze process data, production data, and SPC metrics to monitor and control process performance. 
• Troubleshoot injection molding and processing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. 
• Document all process changes and machine adjustments with clear technical justification and troubleshooting logic. 
• Communicate process conditions, adjustments, and troubleshooting results to operators, supervisors, and management. 
• Analyze statistical data and make process and machine adjustments to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency. 
• Assist with designed experiments (DOE) and process improvement trials to optimize molding performance. 
• Support the Operations Manager and production leadership to maintain productivity and minimize downtime in the molding department. 
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA requirements, quality standards, and environmental regulations. 
• Comply with Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements and support continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient team and department operations. 

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years' experience operating and processing injection molding machines 
• High School Diploma or Equivalent 
• Strong understanding of molding processes, machine setup, and troubleshooting 
• Ability to interpret data and make process-driven decisions 
• Silicone experience is a plus
