Job Summary

As a technical expert in injection molding, responsible for developing and optimizing processes for automotive plastic parts (interiors, structural components), ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost targets. Requires expertise in mold design, material science (ABS, PC/ABS), and simulation tools (Moldflow), with bilingual (English/Mandarin) skills to support global technical alignment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Development

- Define molding parameters (melt temperature, injection speed) via DOE to achieve FPY99%.

- Perform Moldflow analysis to optimize gate design and cooling channels.

2. Mold & Equipment

- Validate new molds (T0/T1 trials) and improve design (venting, slider mechanisms).

- Optimize machine settings (Engel, Arburg) to achieve OEE85%.

3. Quality & Cost

- Implement SPC control charts (Cpk1.67) and drive material substitution for cost savings.

4. New Project Support

- Conduct DFM analysis during APQP, review PFMEA, and support PPAP submissions.

5. Continuous Improvement

- Deploy automation (robotic pickers, vision systems) and lead Six Sigma projects.

6. Collaboration & Training

- Resolve customer complaints with technical reports and train teams on SOPs.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Plastics/Mechanical Engineering or related field.

- Experience: 3+ years in injection molding; automotive experience required.

- Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt, Moldflow certification preferred.

- Skills:

- Proficient in Moldflow, CAD tools; bilingual for global collaboration;

- Deep knowledge of polymer rheology and mold thermodynamics.

- Attributes: Analytical problem-solver, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
