Infusion Registered Nurse

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
  Active RN license in the practicing state.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least one year of infusion nursing experience required.
• Strongly preferred: Chemotherapy infusion experience and familiarity with oncology patient care.
• Candidates with other infusion backgrounds will be considered if they have experience caring for patients with chronic or complex illnesses requiring ongoing infusion therapies.
• Demonstrated proficiency with infusion therapy administration, vascular access devices, patient assessment, and symptom management.
• Excellent communication skills, clinical judgment, and commitment to exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care for patients receiving infusion therapies, including chemotherapy and other specialty treatments.
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families throughout their treatment journey.
• Assess patient needs, monitor treatment responses, and proactively manage symptoms and side effects.
• Administer medications and infusion therapies safely and accurately in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team members to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Facilitate treatment modifications by evaluating patient status, reviewing laboratory results, and communicating recommendations to providers.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and manage central venous access devices.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, symptom management, and self-care strategies.
• Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation.
• Support a culture of excellence, compassion, safety, and compliance.
