In addition to duties described for the Infusion/Manometry Registered Nurse II, your primary duties in this role include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinic patients under the direction of a Physician(s) and within their scope of practice according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • Works directly with providers and staff in coordinating excellent patient care. Serve as primary liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and resource regarding workflows, policies and procedures, trains new and existing staff and assists in evaluating staff efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Cross-trained in multiple areas (completes both infusion and manometry procedures). If applicable, takes on extra clinic duties (supply management., committee member, safety coordinator, etc.).
  • Ensure assisting the supervisor or manager with department-specific projects and team building.
  • Verifies necessary information and performs patient assessment and triage.
  • Performs clinical care in accordance with nursing standards within the specialty, includes esophageal manometry procedures and/or determining and monitoring venipuncture or catheter placement/insertion sites and administering IV medication and treatment.
  • May call the patient with the provider's return message and carry out tasks or orders sent by the provider.
  • Provides patient, families, and caregivers health education on manometry and/or infusion/IV treatment and care.
  • Processes manometry catheters and other equipment following appropriate protocols.
  • Orders and maintains medical inventory of supplies as needed. Checks emergency medication and IV trays regularly. Supports the QA/QI processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Hiring range, based on experience and credentials:

  • Registered Nurse Coordinator: $54.66 - $73.95 per hour.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse Coordinator: $33.60 - $45.45 per hour.

Workdays: This role is based at the Peterkort Centre. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, four 10-hour shifts with a day off: TBD (6:45 am - 5:15 pm).

Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:

  • Current active Oregon state licensure as an RN or LPN.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience as an RN or LPN is strongly preferred. Specialty Care GI and Infusion Manometry experience is a plus!
  • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS may be required by specialty.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Epic experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of IV medications, fluids, and blood products.
  • Skill in performing venipuncture and working with a variety of vascular access devices associated with infusion.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
