RN Nurse Infusion Center Manager - UBMD Neurology 

Full-Time | Onsite 

Locations:

Pay: $46-$52 

 

Position Summary 

University Neurology is seeking an experienced and patient-centered Infusion Center Manager to lead clinical and operational excellence within our outpatient neurology infusion center. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and results-driven leader with a strong background in infusion services, staff development, and workflow optimization. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety, managing complex neurologic infusion therapies, and fostering a high-performing team culture focused on quality outcomes, efficiency, and continuous improvement. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership for a 12-chair outpatient neurology infusion center 

 

  • Lead process improvement and workflow optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and staff engagement 

 

  • Manage full staff lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, competency validation, and performance management 

 

  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy, and administration, to standardize operations and improve patient outcomes 

 

  • Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, accreditation standards, and infusion safety protocols 

 

  • Oversee administration of complex neurologic biologic therapies, IVIG, Steroid and other Neurology treatments prioritizing patient safety and quality outcomes 

 

  • Optimize staffing models, chair utilization, and clinic flow to support operational efficiency and sustainability 

 

  • Serve as primary escalation point for clinical, operational, and personnel issues 

 

  • Foster a high-performing, team-oriented culture focused on retention and continuous improvement 

 

Qualifications 

Education:

  • Current NYS RN license in good standing
  • BSN required

 

Experience:

  • 3+ years of infusion experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in supervising nursing/clinical support staff
  • Neurology, biologics, or specialty infusion background
  • EPIC experience is preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong infusion nursing experience preferred in IVIG, corticosteroids, and infusion therapies
  • Ability to manage and recognize infusion reactions and emergencies
  • Knowledge of medication safety, pharmacy coordination, prior authorization, and infusion protocols
  • Demonstrated success managing outpatient infusion operations, quality metrics, staffing, and growth initiatives
  • Ability to build a positive team culture
  • Strong conflict resolution and coaching skills
  • Success with employee engagement, retention, and performance management skills
