Job Description

The Redesign Group is seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Implementation Engineer to support the deployment and implementation of enterprise infrastructure solutions for our clients. In this post-sales role, you will work directly with customers to bring architected solutions into production, partnering closely with Solution Architects, Senior Engineers, and Project Managers to deliver successful infrastructure deployments across enterprise data centers and colocation facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working with cutting-edge technology and is looking to expand their expertise across compute, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.

This position requires approximately 60% travel within the assigned region, supporting customer deployments across enterprise data centers and colocation facilities. Candidates should be comfortable working on-site with customers and traveling regularly to support project implementations and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and implement enterprise infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, and networking environments
  • Perform rack-and-stack installations, cabling, system integration, and hardware deployment activities
  • Troubleshoot Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking issues, including connectivity, VLAN, DNS, and DHCP-related challenges
  • Collaborate directly with customer IT teams to ensure successful project execution and knowledge transfer
  • Document implementation activities, configuration changes, and deployment outcomes
  • Work independently while managing deployment projects across customer environments
  • Travel to customer sites as needed (approximately 60% travel)

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience working with enterprise IT infrastructure in deployment, implementation, or datacenter environments
  • Hands-on experience installing, integrating, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to work in project-based environments
  • Experience working independently and managing multiple deployment priorities

Technical Experience

  • Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking troubleshooting (switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, connectivity)
  • Enterprise storage platforms and SAN technologies
  • Multi-vendor networking environments, including Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Aruba, and Dell
  • Virtualization platforms such as VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, or similar technologies
  • Command-line (CLI) experience with enterprise infrastructure platforms

Preferred

  • Experience supporting enterprise datacenter implementations and migrations
  • Exposure to modern private cloud, virtualization, or converged infrastructure solutions
  • Desire to learn and grow across compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies

Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package which may include:

  • Medical Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match (annual dollar cap applied)
  • Flexible time off plan
  • 15 paid holidays
  • Sick leave (amount varies by state requirements and is at least the minimum required by any state)
  • Short-term and long-term disability
  • Life insurance
  • Paid parental leave
