Responsibilities:

  • Translate business and platform requirements into technical definitions, reference architectures, Terraform modules, and reusable platform patterns aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform to provision AWS services at scale, including module development, versioning, and environment strategies.
  • Develop self-service platform capabilities and golden paths that enable safe and efficient infrastructure deployments.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD automation and GitHub Actions workflows for validation, security scanning, and controlled deployments.
  • Embed security-by-design with IAM best practices, encryption standards, and secure network architectures.
  • Implement governance and guardrails to meet internal security, risk, and regulatory requirements for financial services.
  • Develop software and automation to eliminate manual processes and improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
  • Evaluate and adopt AWS and third-party tools that align with platform standards and long-term strategy.
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and application teams to ensure compliant integration with platform services.
  • Define and assess functional and non-functional requirements for security, scalability, performance, and resilience.
  • Leverage AI/ML services to enhance automation, developer experience, and intelligent tooling and workflows.
  • Build and maintain Python-based automation and AWS Lambda workflows to reduce operational effort.
  • Contribute to event-driven and serverless platform components using AWS native services.
  • Support secure and scalable cloud network architectures compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter contributor for AWS, Terraform, and platform engineering practices to support internal adoption.
  • Advance observability and operational excellence with monitoring, alerting, and reliability improvements.
  • Promote an inclusive, healthy working environment and help resolve impediments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Significant experience developing Terraform configurations and modules; proficiency translating designs into Terraform code.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform Enterprise for provisioning and governance.
  • Experience in DevOps and GitOps models, including infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, and policy-as-code.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud adoption frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security controls.
  • Experience building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring, logging, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
  • Experience with containers and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, pipelines, and container repositories.
  • Experience with automation tools and programming such as Terraform, Ansible, Java, and Python.
  • Experience with cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tooling.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Bash or Python.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Minimum 5+ years of cloud automation engineering experience. Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in financial services and regulated environments.
  • Experience across multiple public cloud providers.
  • Background on technology and infrastructure teams with Linux/UNIX administration.
