Infrastructure Manager ~ Data Movement (LUW)

Proven management skills over large team (15-20)

Total comprehension of various infrastructure technologies including:

  • Network Infrastructure (Load Balancer, NetworkDMZ)
  • SQL Server Technologies

The Technical Manager in Data Movement will be responsible for collaborating on the design and execution of the future strategy and vision for Data Movement technology platforms, including business and technical design, implementation of technology solutions at the enterprise level, and the successful operations associated with delivering enterprise services across these platforms. In addition, the Technical Manager in Data Movement is responsible for managing all aspects of applications technology for Managed File Transfer, Enterprise Fax Services, SWIFT Connectivity Services, and Enterprise API Gateway services including oversight of project planning, staffing, scheduling, communication with business, vendors, and staff, and establishing the proper control and process environment.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for working with the Department Manager, Systems Colleagues, and the Business in developing and executing technology strategy for Data Movement Technology platforms across the enterprise
  • In conjunction with the team managers, oversee the development of detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, metrics and monthly status reports where required to inform self and management to review productivity and risk
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and consistently reviewing and remediating risk
  • Oversee the execution of the special projects or assignments, prepare, manage, and control budget, ensure the effective use of resources
  • As owner of the Data Movement Technology organization serve as an escalation point for the Firm for these technologies and services
  • Collaborate strategically with all LOB's affected by the Data movement applications (e.g., users, other interfacing teams, Data Services, Client Services).
  • Provide leadership, development of talent in the organization, and oversight of team supervisors and team members
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and externally
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to team
  • Responsible for the oversight and direction of the quality and timeliness of day-to-day operations and deliverables

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related work experience required
  • 12+ years technical work experience in increasingly responsible positions, including management of technical resources
  • Generalized IT Infrastructure Technology background; familiarity with Server/Compute technology resources, Networking technologies, and Database technologies (RDBMS)
  • Generalized IT Security Technology experience; Cryptography (encryption/decryption) techniques & standards, cyber security practices, application security, etc.
  • Specific technology expertise/experience in the following areas is a plus:
    • Managed File Transfer, Enterprise Fax, or API Gateway products and practices
    • Windows/Red Hat Server Technologies
    • Application development and best practices
    • Scripting technologies; preferably PowerShell
    • SQL scripting or database development
