Title: PHP Support Engineer
Duration: 6+ Months and Possible Extension
Location: Raleigh, NC - 27601
Pay Range: $30 - $40/hr on W2/C2C all Inclusive

Introduction:

This role is for a PHP Support Engineer who will be responsible for providing production support, bug resolution, and performance optimization for web applications. This position acts as the technical bridge between engineering and operations, owning issue triage, root cause analysis, and ensuring timely fixes in live environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with PHP Web Apps
• Knowledge of web application development lifecycle
• Familiarity with tools such as Splunk and Tableau
• Experience with SQL databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with RESTful API integrations
• Ability to conduct code reviews for security and performance
• Strong documentation skills

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Monitor, triage, and resolve PHP application issues across production environments within defined SLAs
• Diagnose and fix defects in PHP codebases; deploy hotfixes with minimal downtime
• Investigate recurring failures, document findings, and implement permanent solutions
• Write and optimize SQL queries; troubleshoot database-related application issues
• Debug and support RESTful API integrations and third-party service connections
• Maintain runbooks, incident logs, and known-error knowledge base
