IT System Administrator III (SQLServer/Web Administrator)

Are you an experienced IT professional who enjoys managing enterprise applications, web platforms, and database systems? Join our team as an Information Technology System Administrator III and play a key role in supporting critical technology infrastructure that serves our organization and community.

 

In this journey-level role, you will collaborate with senior technical staff to design, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot a diverse portfolio of technologies hosted both on-premises and in cloud environments, including Azure and Oracle Cloud. These systems support critical business functions and enterprise operations, requiring a strong commitment to reliability, performance, and operational excellence.

 

This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Administer and support enterprise web, application, and database environments
  • Manage Microsoft SQL Server databases and SharePoint platforms
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and patch servers and applications
  • Troubleshoot complex system and application issues
  • Participate in new technology implementations and infrastructure projects
  • Work with both Windows and Linux server environments

Schedule: 44/36, Monday through Friday/Every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday 9 hours per day, 8 hours per day every other Friday. Start times are no earlier than 6 am and end times are no later than 6 pm.

 

Hybrid: Metropolitan’s current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs. In addition, a telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and once completed and implemented, will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule.

 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience.

 

A degree in a related field is defined as: Computer Information System or Computer Science or related

 

Relevant Experience is defined as: two years of experience if you have a Master’s degree or four years of experience if you have a Bachelor’s degree in deploying, configuring, administering, and debugging: Windows and Linux servers, web servers (such as IIS, Apache, WebLogic or JBoss); OR Microsoft SharePoint & web certificates or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
