Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Information Technology (IT) Manager I, the IT Supervisor II supervises, plans, assigns, and reviews the work of an information technology program and personally performs the most difficult or sensitive work for Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) Field Operations / Client Services. Travel to institutions, and after hours support of California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) software applications and systems will be required. The incumbent must maintain confidentiality of information acquired while performing job duties, demonstrate ethical behavior, and work cooperatively with others. The incumbent is also expected to monitor mobile phone voicemail and email after hours, to acknowledge and assist with high priority incidents.

Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 1, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly for at least 16 months. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.

Travel may be required.

The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
