Under the general direction of the Office of Information Services, Chief Technology Officer (CEA-B), the Information Technology Manager I - Client Services Section Manager, manages multiple domains and disciplines; develops performance metrics; performs budgeting, contract management, policy formulation, and resource management; establishes service levels; and develops performance metrics over the Client Services Section.

The incumbent provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to staff responsible for these functions, ensuring successful execution of procurement strategies, contract development, and ongoing vendor management. This position is responsible for resolving the most sensitive and complex contractual and operational challenges, ensuring compliance with state policies and supporting the timely delivery of high-priority technology initiatives.

Working Conditions

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.

Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period as outlined on "Section 2113 - Personal Leave Program (PLP)" of the CalHR Manual. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.

Telework Information: *This position may/may not be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Office of Information Services (OIS) and based on the current telework policy. While the OIS supports telework where possible, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Special Requirements

Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI): Title 11, section 703 (d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance to DCA's (CORI) procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position. Conflict of Interest (COI): This position is subject to Title 16, section 3830 of the California Code of Regulations, the Department of Consumer Affairs' Conflict of Interest Regulations. The incumbent is required to submit a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office, annually by April 1st, and within 30 days of leaving office.
