Position Summary
Under supervision, responds to computer hardware, software, and data related questions and issues; and performs related work as assigned. Work assignments are received from the supervisor verbally, in writing or via service tickets. Data related work may be submitted by a work team. Work may be reviewed and evaluated in progress or upon completion.

Job Duties
Perform technology related support tasks; technical support and troubleshooting of personal computers and peripherals; setups and installs of new computer hardware, software and related peripherals; and setup and deployment of tablets and smart phones.
Assist with end-user training and orientation of new computer hardware or software.
Inform the Lead Application/Network Analyst and Senior Network Administrator of any observed network access problems.
Record pertinent information about all incidents and resolution in service ticket system.
Respond to questions and service requests.
The intern works alongside teams within the city providing support for data analysts/scientists by applying skills in mathematics, statistics, and programming to gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets to help the city organization make data-driven decisions. The intern assists in finding and Identifying patterns and trends in data sets.
The intern documents all work done to troubleshoot large datasets and/or processes, providing technical assistance in relation to data analysis tools, methods and data development of data analysis algorithms. The data analyst supports, respects and works within data governance policies of the City of Dubuque.
Perform other duties as assigned.
