60+ year-old manufacturing company has an opening for a Summer IT Infrastructure Intern. Great opportunity to gain practical experience working with hardware, server rooms, and infrastructure in a manufacturing setting!
Duties:
- Organize and clean IT and server room areas
- Sort, label, and remediate cabling in racks and network closets
- Assist with IT equipment recycling and disposal efforts
- Remove and decommission legacy phone system equipment
- Help troubleshoot and improve camera (surveillance) system issues
- Inventory, document, and retire unused or outdated IT equipment
- Create and update documentation (network layouts, inventory, labeling standards)
- Assist IT staff with infrastructure projects (servers, storage, and hardware)
- Provide occasional helpdesk support as needed
Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree or technical training in IT, Networking, or a related field
- Strong interest in infrastructure, hardware, and hands-on work
- Ability to work onsite and start immediately
Salary: $20/hr.
