  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to create, maintain, and document security baselines and configuration management records.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong customer service skills.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Experience with network auditing and SIEM tools such as Splunk or Elastic.
  • Experience developing technical solutions and security tools to help mitigate vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Familiarity with providing security education and awareness training to cleared personnel.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assist the ISSM in establishing and maintaining the required network security posture through Risk Mitigation and Risk Management, providing analytical and technical security recommendations to IT section members and the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
  • Identify and define security requirements based on organizational need or as the result of security issues that place systems at risk.
  • Assist in the development of technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Create, maintain, and document security baselines to ensure consistent and compliant system configurations.
  • Ensure configuration management for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware is properly maintained and documented.
  • Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored following any disruption.
  • Ensure that system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the system life cycle.
  • Follow and enforce procedures for authorizing software, hardware, and firmware use prior to implementation on the system.
  • Develop and deliver security education and awareness training to cleared employees.
